Whooping cough vaccination.

Pharmacists at Marraboor Pharmacy are authorised to administer diptheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTPa) vaccines for the purpose of reducing the likelihood of becoming ill with pertussis (whooping cough) Certain people are eligible for government funded DTP vaccine at a reduced cost through our pharmacy.

Book in for aged 20 years plus (not pregnant)
Book in for pregnant person (Past 20 weeks)
Book in for school aged vaccination (Aged 12-19)

  • We can vaccinate anyone over the age of 12 years old.

  • Adolescents

    Booster dose is recommended for adolescents in year 7

    Adults

    Any adult who wants to reduce their likelihood of becoming ill with pertussis is able to access the vaccine if the last dose was more than 10 years ago.

    It is more strongly recommended for

    • pregnant women during each pregnancy

    Recommended to get booster if more than 10 years has passed for;

    • People aged over 65

    • Healthcare workers

    • early childhood educators and carers

    • travellers

    • household contacts and carers of infants less than 6 months old (at least 2 weeks before they have close contact with the infant)

  • School aged children aged 12. We can help with catch up to the age of 19.
